Favorite subject: Care of Magical Creatures
Worst subject: Arthimacy
At first glance, Gon seems like a very simple boy and not too bright. However, while incredibly naive, he does hold a sharp mind, especially when the subject interests him. This is particulary true in anything to do with animals (his best class is Care of Magical Creatures) and the woods. He has a tendancy to regularly sneak in to the Forbidden Forest, despite any punishments he might recieve for doing so.
He was brought up on the coast of Scotland by his aunt; his father, a somewhat famous auror, disappeared when he was young. Instead of resenting his father for his seeming desertion, Gon grew up wanting to be an auror as well in an effort to find his father. His attitude is cheerful and bright, and he sees good in everyone. Some might say that this would show that he's too trusting, but that same trust has earned him many good friends. He is brave and forthright, and will charge in to battle if he sees someone in danger, even if he's never met them. He believes strongly that the world is a just place, and that everyone has good within them.
